What is telehealth?
Telehealth refers to a doctor delivering patient care without being having direct face-to-face contact with the patient. These consultations are to assist patients who live in rural areas access to doctors without travelling long distances. Consultations are conducted via videoconference software, using a variety of computer programs, with the most common being Skype.
Fees
You will be charged a fee of $235 and you may be eligible to obtain a rebate from Medicare depending on your residential address. Please contact Medicare on 132 011 to discuss if a rebate is applicable to you.
The consultation fee will be due 48 hours prior to your appointment. This fee can be paid by:
EFTPOS – Please contact our friendly staff on 1300 599 533 to process a credit card payment.
Cheque – Please send to PO Box 6024, Upper Mount Gravatt, QLD 4122. The cheque must be received 48 hours prior to your consultation.
Direct Deposit – Please contact our friendly staff on 1300 599 533 for the banking details.
How is a Telehealth appointment conducted?
Telehealth appointments are videoconferenced consultations. Patients sit in front of a computer at their GP Office and a software program (Skype the most common but some clinics use other technology) links your computer to our rooms. This provides an opportunity to involve your GP and your GP can assist our medical professional if a physical examination is required. You will see your medical professional on the screen and be able to discuss your condition in real time.

Items to Send in Prior to your Consultation
- Scans pertaining to your condition on a CD or hard copy films, for Dr Webster to review prior to your consultation. These will be returned to you after your consultation.
- Completed Patient Registration Form.
- Completed Privacy Consent Form.
